Tameaka Shelton is a senior level Human Resources Executive with over 25 years of progressive human resources experience. She has proven work experience in Recruitment, Training and Development, Benefits Administration, Employee Relations, Compensation, Records Management, Employment Practices, Performance Management and Safety and Strategic Planning.
Tameaka is the CEO and Principal Consultant of Employ and Relate, an HR Firm based in the Baltimore, Maryland area. Tameaka has a heart for small business and is dedicated to ensuring as many small businesses as possible understand how important starting with a solid HR foundation is to the success of their organization. Tameaka has over 25 years of Human Resources experience with federal government contracts, non-profits, and full-distributed (virtual/remote) organizations.
Tameaka received her BA in Business Administration, specializing in Human Resources Management from the University of Baltimore. She holds a master’s degree in Education and Curriculum and a master’s certificate in Adult Education/Corporate Training. Tameaka is a DiSC trained, trainer as well as a certified John Maxwell speaker, trainer, and coach. Tameaka enjoys studying people, along with their different learning styles. She attributes much of her success and tenacity to a family who ensured she was always exposed to a diverse breadth of people. Realizing exposure and access has opened doors to things she may not have had otherwise, she always looks for ways to share and teach others what she’s learned.
