Joe Spence
Career Coaching Specialist
Joe assists HR on the Move clients with career management and human resources services. He consults on issues related to diversity in the workplace, employee development and training, college and educational planning, teamwork, career coaching, employee onboarding, outplacement services, retention, and curriculum development.
In this capacity, he has authored articles for professional journals related to generational conflict in the workplace, recruiting and retaining new employees, and on various career development subjects.
Joe has served on or chaired many search committees, including executive level search committees tasked with hiring college presidents. He has developed online delivery of Career Exploration coursework and Career Services, developed curriculum content for various subjects, and consulted on college planning for individuals and organizations. Joe is an elected village trustee, a former board member of the NY State Transfer Articulation Association, a member of the SUNY Broome Applied Learning Committee, and a former Board of Education Vice President.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Alfred University in Alfred, NY, a Master’s degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and has completed additional graduate credits from Binghamton University.
