Jeanne Stewart, MBA, SPHR, SHRM – SCP, CDP

Jeanne Stewart, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CDP, is the Founder and Principal of HR on the Move, LLC, a strategic human resources consulting firm established in 2006. Following two decades of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, Jeanne launched HR on the Move to provide executive-level HR advisory and organizational consulting services to businesses, nonprofits, public entities, and leadership teams navigating growth, change, and complex workforce challenges.

Jeanne brings extensive experience partnering with executives and organizational leaders in the areas of organizational development, change management, executive coaching, employee relations, workplace investigations, compensation and benefits strategy, training and leadership development, staffing, process improvement, and operational effectiveness. Her work is grounded in balancing business objectives with sound people strategy, risk mitigation, and organizational culture.

For ten years, Jeanne served as Director of Human Resources and Diversity for Local 52, IATSE Motion Picture Studio Mechanics, where she worked closely with leadership and the Office of the New York State Attorney General in support of compliance initiatives and organizational accountability efforts associated with an Assurance of Discontinuance issued by New York State.

Earlier in her career, Jeanne served as a Human Resources Business Partner at Montefiore Medical Center, one of the largest healthcare employers in New York. In that role, she directed compensation, benefits, labor relations, employee relations, training and development, HRIS, and recruitment functions for the Medicine Care Center. Key initiatives included enterprise-wide e-learning programs focused on cultural diversity and professional accountability, development of compliance-oriented orientation programs, and facilitation of department-wide leadership and team development retreats.

Jeanne also served as Director of Human Resources for St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children and spent six years with YAI National Institute for People with Disabilities as Assistant Director of Human Resources, overseeing HR operations and supporting multiple affiliated organizations.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business from University of Mount Saint Vincent and her MBA in Human Resource Management from Iona University Hagan School of Business. Jeanne is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Certified Diversity Professional (CDP), Certified Human Behavior Consultant, and Certified Workplace Investigator.

Jeanne currently serves as Director of Government Affairs for New York State Society for Human Resource Management and is a past State Director. She is also a Past President of NYC SHRM, the largest SHRM chapter in the world. In addition to her consulting work, Jeanne frequently serves as a speaker, facilitator, and guest lecturer on leadership, workplace culture, organizational effectiveness, and strategic human resources management.
