Jeanne webJeanne Marrin, MBA, SPHR – Founder & President

Jeanne Marrin founded HR on the Move (HRoM), a consortium of business and management consultants, in 2006, after 20 years of working as a Human Resources generalist.  Jeanne’s background includes a wide range of business consulting experience, including organizational development, change management, organization assessments, executive development, employee relations, workplace investigations, employee benefits and compensation, training and development, staffing, process improvement, and project management.

Jeanne was a Business Partner at Montefiore Medical Center, the largest employer in the Bronx, New York.  At Montefiore, Jeanne directed the compensation, benefits, labor, employee relations, training and development, HRIS, and recruitment and staffing functions for the Medicine Care Center.  Several of Ms. Marrin’s projects included development of a written orientation policy for JCAHO standards, creation of e-learning modules for the entire health care system for Cultural Diversity and Recognition of the Impaired Medical Professional, and design of team building retreats for entire departments.

Prior to her work at Montefiore, Ms. Marrin was Director of Human Resources for St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children in Bayside, NY.  Jeanne worked for 6 years at YAI National Institute for People with Disabilities as Senior HR Manager and Assistant Director of Human Resources, overseeing the HR Operations Department for their seven companies.

Jeanne received her BA in Business from the College of Mt. St. Vincent in Riverdale, NY.  She also received an MBA in HR Management from Iona College Hagan School of Business in New Rochelle, NY.  She is certified through the HR Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.  Jeanne teaches graduate level Strategic HR Management at St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn.

Jeanne currently serves as the Director of the New York State Society for Human Resource Management (NYS SHRM).  She is a recent Past President of the Human Resources Association of New York (HR/NY), the largest human resources chapter in the world and the New York tri-state area’s largest association of human resources practitioners.   Jeanne is a member of the Business Advisory Council of the College of Mount Saint Vincent and sits on the advisory board of St. Joseph’s College School of Business.  Jeanne serves as a guest lecturer and facilitator for a variety of venues and is a member of the John Maxwell Team of consultants.

Jill webJill Muller, LMHC – Director, HR Client Services

Jill joined HR on the Move, LLC. (HRoM) in August of 2008 as an HR Consultant.  In January of 2013 Jill took on the role of Director of HR Client Services.  In this role Jill serves as the front line of communication for HRoM clients and works with our clients and our strategic partners to determine needs and services.  Jill has over 15 years of progressive managerial experience in the education and non-profit arena.

Additionally, she has strong communication, organizational, problem solving, management and platform skills. Jill has worked at VIP Community Services as an Associate Vice President/Senior Business Partner.  At VIP Jill managed the labor, employee relations, employee safety and security, training and development, HRIS, and recruitment and staffing functions for the non-profit agency.  Several of her accomplishments and projects included development of a written orientation policy for OASAS standards, facilitation of labor management meetings with 1199 SEIU, serving as a Grievance Officer for Third Step Hearings, overhauling all agency  job descriptions to conform with the ADA and other legal requirements and standards. Prior to her work at VIP, Jill was a School Counselor for 5 years in Westchester County, NY.

In addition to her 280+ student caseload, Jill counseled students regarding social/emotional issues, mediated conflicts, was a member of the crisis response team, supervised interns and co-authored the school system’s college guidebook.  Prior to her work as a Counselor, Jill worked in the Development Office of Manhattan College as the Director, Annual Giving Telefund and Director, Anniversary Class Programs. In addition to her responsibilities with HR on the Move, Ms. Muller is currently the editor of a website featuring free/almost free events for children in her local community.  Jill received her BA in History from the College of Mt. St. Vincent in Riverdale, NY.  She also received an MA and subsequently a PD in Counseling Psychology from Manhattan College also located in Riverdale.  Jill is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Jill is a member of the Human Resources Association of New York (HR/NY), the largest human resources chapter in the world and the New York tri-state area’s largest association of human resources practitioners.

HR MaxMax Rickard, MBA, PHR – HR Client Services Coordinator

Max assists HR on the Move clients in the area of training assessment and delivery, process improvement, operations and compliance. Beyond HR, Max handles marketing, communication, and outreach efforts.

Max Rickard holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Mount Saint Mary’s College, in Newburgh, NY and a Master’s in Business Administration from the State University of New York at New Paltz. He is an active member of the society for Human Resource Management (NYS SHRM).

Additionally, Max is certified by the Human Resources Certification Institute as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and holds a Certified Professional (CP) designation through SHRM. Max has several years of professional HR experience including training and organizational development, diversity in the workplace and recruitment.

Gail Stewart-Evans, Senior HR Consultant

Gail assists HR on the Move clients in the areas of Employee Relations, workplace investigations and mediations. She has over 30 years of Human Resources experience with emphasis on employee relations, policy management and recruitment. In December 2011 she retired from her position as Human Resources Manager at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LPP, an international law firm headquartered in New York City. In addition to law firms, Gail has held HR management positions in public and private hospitals. Gail is pursuing a second career in mediation and conflict resolution. She recently completed course requirements for New York University’s certification program for Conflict & Dispute Resolution. She is currently an apprentice mediator at the Institute for Mediation & Conflict Resolution, a community mediation center.

Gail graduated from The New School and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Human Resources Administration. She also attended Boston University where she majored in French and Spanish. Gail is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and its New York City chapter, the Human Resources Association of New York. She was a member of the HR/NY board for 10 years and is currently chair of its Workforce Readiness Special Interest Group. She has recently joined the board of FamilyKind, an organization that provides education and support services – including mediation – to divorcing or separating parents and their children. She is also a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution of Greater New York.

MelikaMelika N. Simpson, HR Specialist

Melika assists HR on the Move clients with HR file audits, recruiting, scheduling, reference checks, data entry and other administrative HR support functions. She holds a BS, Health Science concentration in Health Care Administration from the College at Brockport SUNY. She has several years of experience in health care and human resources and a demonstrated, comprehensive knowledge of HRIS systems including ADP HR Benefits Solution and other computer applications. Melika has held HR support roles in the non-profit, social services arena. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). While in college Melika was awarded the ETA SIGMA GAMMA Professional Health Education Honorary and was a member of ARISTA, the National Honor Society.

Joanne assists HR on the Move clients with business solutions in the area of employment law, human resource policy, organizational change, leadership development, strategic planning, and human resource development. Joanne’s real-world experience combined with her education certifications has given her a well-rounded understanding of today’s workplace. Joanne has taught Human Resource Management for Ithaca College, Keuka College, and Elmira College. She has a BS in Psychology, MS in Education, with an advanced Certification in Training and Human Resource Development.

Deborah assists HR on the Move clients with a wide range tasks including organizational development, change management, organization assessments, employee relations, compensation, training and development, staffing, process improvement, and project management.

Deb currently serves as the Director of the New York State Society for Human Resource Management (NYS SHRM). She has also served NYS SHRM as Director Elect, Conference Chair, and District Director. She is a recent Past President of the Society of Human Resources Management of Tompkins County (SHRM-TC).   She has also served SHRM-TC as President-Elect, SHRM Foundation Chair and Conference Chair.  Deb was awarded the HR Champion Award in 2012 for exceptional service to the Human Resources Community and the SHRM-TC chapter.

Deb received her Associates Degree from TC3 in Business Management and her Bachelors of Science in Human Resource Management from the Empire State College in Saratoga Springs, NY. Deb is certified through the HR Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and through the Society of Human Resource Management as a Senior Certified Professional.

Joe assists HR on the Move clients with career management and human resources services. He consults on issues related to diversity in the workplace, employee development and training, college and educational planning, teamwork, career coaching, employee onboarding, outplacement services, retention, and curriculum development. In this capacity, he has authored articles for professional journals related to generational conflict in the workplace, recruiting and retaining new employees, and on various career development subjects.

Joe has served on or chaired many search committees, including executive level search committees tasked with hiring college presidents. He has developed online delivery of Career Exploration coursework and Career Services, developed curriculum content for various subjects, and consulted on college planning for individuals and organizations.

Joe is an elected village trustee, a former board member of the NY State Transfer Articulation Association, a member of the SUNY Broome Applied Learning Committee, and a former Board of Education Vice President. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Alfred University in Alfred, NY, a Master’s degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and has completed additional graduate credits from Binghamton University.

Kate Cody, MHR, PHR – Sr. HR Consultant

Kate is a strategic HR leader with a strong affinity for building teams and retaining top talent. She brings over nine years of ground-level policy development, financial planning and administration, and human resources and benefits administration experience to the HR on the Move team.

Kate is a knowledgeable HR Executive with a broad generalist background. She earned her Master’s in Human Resources and obtained her PHR certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute. She has also held various positions including her role as Project Manager where she effectively led concepts through delivery project life cycle, including contract negotiations and vendor management.

Kate has a valued ability to create culture and possesses a genuine integrity that is readily recognized. She has established a reputation as an employee advocate who can be trusted and relied on to champion the needs of the employee while serving the best interests of the company.

Amy Culleny, HR Admin Support

Amy Joan Culleny is the owner of Admin Amy, LLC, virtual administrative support and design. She currently provides support to businesses and professionals such as pastors, artists, mortgage bankers, construction companies, and more. Amy has had the pleasure of providing administrative support for HR OnTheMove since October of 2013. Amy has been providing administrative support to businesses and non-profits since 2010. Prior to founding Admin Amy, she worked as an employee with school districts, churches, and production companies. Through working with these companies, she gained training and experience in graphic design, media, and advertising. Her previous employers continue to contract her out for administrative support on a regular basis. She is thrilled to be on the HR OnTheMove team!
